Hollywood has really gone downhill, with their focus on remakes, sequels, sparkly vampires...it's disheartening to see what has happened.  The endings are predictable (for the most part), the lameness of their scary movies is growing...but there is an alternative! Not just going independent for your movies, but going to YouTube!

For those of you who love Resident Evil, that guy (Shinji Mikami) is working on another scary-as-hell video game, called The Evil Within. It's not due out until next year, but Bethesda (who gave us the amazing Elder Scrolls games and Fallout series) is releasing this monster, so it should be really awesome! Get some creeps, and check out the trailer!

We’ve spent many hours yelling at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and the game’s always taken it in stride, pretending as though it didn’t hear us. Now it’s done playing nice. Thanks to an update released today, those playing the game on an Xbox 360 with a Kinect device hooked up will be able to control the game with their voice.

PC gaming snobs love to crow on and on about how much better their games look on their high-end rigs as opposed to the Xbox 360 or PS3. Normally we tolerate only so much backtalk before giving those guys atomic wedgies, but in the case of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, they do have a point ...

TV has the Nielsens. Movies have the box office. Music has the Billboards. Video games have Raptr, the official video game rankings, and they just awarded ‘Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim‘ with the honor of being the Most Played Game of 2011.
