If you made your way to El Paso’s east side of town to watch the movie at Tinsletown then you were greeted by a 50 foot mural of the Blue Beetle that was created by local Chicano artist, Jesus “Cimi” Alvarado.
Guests who participate in the scavenger hunt will have the opportunity to search for and admire murals across San Jacinto Plaza and Union Plaza Entertainment District while solving clues and completing challenges along the way.
Photos began circulating across social media showing black graffiti on the brand new skatepark which read, " How much money does it cost the city to paint over this? More than my spray paint - taxpayer."
Now the outdoor mall is using art to make more people aware of Diabetes through their latest mural titled “Synthesis.” The new mural, painted by local artist Cesar Inostroza, is a project between The El Paso Center For Diabetes and The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso.
Everyone’s favorite Mexican soda, Jarritos, is hoping to spread the love to artists and creatives whose work impacts communities across the nation by awarding five artists with a $10,000 grant and an El Paso artist duo is in the running for the grant.
