UTEP head coach Mike Price says he's "disappointed, frustrated, but not discouraged" after the Miners' 37-26 loss to Wisconsin in Madison, WI. The Miners are developing a reputation as a hard-hitting team going into Conference USA play.

The UTEP Miners dominated with big plays on both offense and defense to win their first game of the season, 41-28, over New Mexico State in the Battle of I-10.

You could tell this loss stung Mike Price just by looking. More withdrawn. Fewer smiles. The kind of attitude you might expect less than 48 hours after getting so over-and-over close to a 10-by-55-yard stretch of lush, green Mississippi grass, but only getting to roll in it once.

It WILL be a big game. The Sun Bowl WILL have a better atmosphere for fun and tailgating. The Miners ARE healthy. But as the Miners kick off against the Sooners this Saturday night in the Sun Bowl,  there was one word you didn't hear from UTEP head coach Mike Price -- "win".

UTEP announced the addition of 20 new names to its football roster on National Letter of Intent Signing Day. The class includes two players -- DB Leon Hayes and LB Darnell Murray -- who greyshirted with the program in 2011, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded to 22.

UTEP head football coach Mike Price will stay head football coach for at least one more season, according to Miners' Director of Athletics, Bob Stull.
