What do you get when you put mariachis, rock-and-roll, great food and great times together in Union Plaza? You get the Mexican Food Cook-Off, 2015 edition.

With iOS 9 rolling out, I was hoping I'd be able to use the new taco and burrito emojis at Friday's Mexican Food Cook-off, but alas, no such luck.

In preparation for Friday's Mexican Food Cookoff, the KLAQ Morning Show faced off in a taco-eating contest to see who could eat the most tacos in five minutes.

This weekend, The Q takes over Cleveland Square with dancing, mexican food, rocking mariachis and more!!

The Mexican Food Cook-off is Saturday at San Jacinto Plaza.  I'm usually a judge, but this year I'll be Emceeing the Rock and Roll Mariachi Competitions. It's just as well. I am very excited for The Mexican Food Cook-off this Saturday, August 4 at San Jacinto Plaza in beautiful downtown El Paso.  (See all the details here.)  I will be judging, and am hoping I get the enchilada category, my favorite Mexican food.  Enchiladas, like tacos, can be made in a lot of different ways, and I would like to share some of my favorites with you.
