Thursday night, the Abraham Chavez Theatre progged out with some of the masters of the genre hitting the stage in front of a packed crowd. Dream Theater and Crimson Projekct displayed so much technical mastery over their music and instruments, I wouldn't be surprised if Craigslist had a bunch of new instruments up for sale the day after!
After the fireworks on Saturday, June 30th, Candlebox hit the stage and made sure everyone was worn out by the time they left the Streetfest! Kevin Martin and the gang rocked through their hits and everyone in the crowd was singing along and rocking with the band until late, celebrating the weekend with thousands of El Paso and Las Cruces friends!
Kansas hit the stage shortly after Blue Oyster Cult on Saturday, June 20th, and proved to everyone there why they're still around, kicking ass all over the world! They hit the stage with Magnum Opus and really got the crowd pumped up with the harmony parts between the guitar, violin and keyboards, and then kept things going with all the songs people were singing along to throughout the show!

Blue Oyster Cult kicked off the second day of the El Paso Downtown Streetfest, showing everyone how things are done at the rock show! They came right out with rockin' songs, screaming solos and vocal harmonies to show that they still have it, cowbell or no cowbell! They've got your prescription, and yes, the cowbell IS there!
Filter helped kick things into a higher gear on Friday, June 29th at the El Paso Downtown Streetfest! They hit the stage hard and fast and built the energy for the crowd for over an hour with great songs and lots of interaction with the fans! They were a great lead in to Theory of a Deadman, and got the crowd really pumped to continue the evening!
This year's El Paso Downtown Streetfest kicked off rock hard with a fantastic show from Saliva! They came right out of the gate with a lot of energy and really got the crowd going. New singer Bobby Amaru sounded great and really worked the El Paso crowd.
Dead Sara stopped by the KLAQ studios to perform a special acoustic set for some loyal fans before their show at Tricky Falls with Chevelle this evening. They played a couple songs live for us (see below) and then hung out with winners and talked Balloonfest, and their hopes to ride in a balloon when they come down!
