Support the shop local movement by checking out the Downtown Art and Farmers Market next Saturday for "Small Business Saturday."

On Saturday, November 26th, the Downtown Art and Farmers Market will be hosting a "Shop Small Saturday" event at the market. Shop Small Saturday has been around since 2010 and encourages people to not only shop on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Black Friday and Cyber Monday both usually cater to big box retail and e-commerce stores, while Shop Small Saturday celebrates small and local businesses in your area.

The Downtown Art and Farmers Market will host some of the region's most talented artists and craftsmen. Come downtown and find some unique, handmade and locally made holiday gifts your family and friends will love.

The Downtown Art and Farmers Market happens Saturday, November 26th on Anthony Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors will also be taking orders for your favorite holiday treats and eats in the market food cottage.

There will be live bluegrass and jazz music for market goers to enjoy, as well as free arts and crafts to keep kids entertained. Food trucks will also be on site and vendors will also be giving out free Shop Small market bags while supplies last.
