When did the band get together, and how?

we (dre d cruz, t-bird & jahneo) created rubicon in october of 2010. 3 months later (january 7, 2011) we had our first show with our good friends bird sounds, sickbay & secret levels @ bombardiers night club. that's all we remember until starting to fill out this local band profile page questionnaire.

How would you describe your music to someone?

it's hard to explain, you know it would probably be best to catch one of our performances.

Who are some of the bands that influence your music?

the doors, mos def, the animals, atmosphere, war, the roots, red hot chili peppers, jurassic 5, rage against the machine, outkast, sublime, beastie boys, gorillaz, dead prez, queen, grieves, alice in chains, wu-tang clan, stone temple pilots, a tribe called quest

What is your most memorable gig so far?

so we played a pool party on the west side. oh man it was gnarly ahahaha. people got trashed, thrown into the pool, cell phones and cameras were destroyed. there were girls walking around half naked and making out with eachother. people died! ahahaha just kidding! but, relationships ended while others were conceived:0)

Are you currently signed to any kind of label or management?

not just yet...

What other bands have your members been/are in?

jahneo was in a group with fred swift called johnny b swift aka jbs, which often collaborated with t-bird. during that extended time of collaboration with t-bird, jbs was renamed johnny b damn swift aka jbds due to the addition of dre d cruz. soon after, fred swift decided to part ways with jbds and at that point in time we smashed the material from jbs, jbds & the collaborations with t-bird to conceive what we now know as rubicon.

plurals also plays drums for the human condition & man your stations
