Sad news came out today. The legendary actor Sir Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93.

Christopher Lee passed away at the age of 93 on June 7th from respiratory problems and heart failure. He was known for so many roles and was iconic in the horror industry, as well as playing some of the most notorious villains. He was Count Dooku in Star Wars, Scaramanga in the Bond flick "The Man With The Golden Gun," Count Dracula in "Dracula," and more.

One of my favorite roles Sir Christopher Lee ever played was the corrupted, power hungry Saruman the White in the Lord of the Rings movies. Lee was the only cast member who personally knew Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkein and was given his blessing to play the magical father figure Gandalf the Grey, who is later known as Gandalf the White. Sir Christopher Lee instead ended up playing Saruman, which suited his legendary villainous acting abilities well.
