Now that he's back from his visit to the United States, the Vatican announced Pope Francis' plans to visit Mexico in 2016.

Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi announced on Tuesday that plans are underway for the trip, which will include a visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine in Mexico City.

While no other tour stops have been announced, the El Paso Times reported that according to Mexican news media, the pontiff will spend five days in Mexico and there's speculation that he may also visit Juárez.

However, the Rev. Hesiquio Trevizo, the spokesperson for the Diocese of Juárez said there is nothing official involving a visit with from the Pope yet.
