New Mexico's Marble Brewery is releasing a new beer with proceeds going to a great cause and the can is adorned with an El Paso artist's work. Even if you don't know Christin Apodaca's name, there's a really good chance you've seen her beautiful black and white artwork somewhere in the Sun City. Her stunning murals can be seen on several buildings like the Salvation Army, El Paso International Airport, and even City structures. She's also worked on murals on various businesses in town too like Neon Rose, Benny Franks, Deadbeach Brewery, Drip Drive, Tin Man, Picacho Coffee, Hope and Anchor, and even created a game poster for the local USL team, the El Paso Locomotive. You can see some of her amazing work through her Instagram page and learn more about her style and art from The Prospector Daily.

When Marble Brewery was looking for an artist to create the look for their new Starlight wheat ale, Christin was the perfect artist for the job. She's from El Paso but graduated from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where Marble is located. When asked about how the collaboration between herself and Marble began, she said it was a connection she had from her years spent living in Albuquerque:

"Marble reached out in February about a project they wanted to do and I said yes not knowing what the details were. I lived in (Albuquerque) for a few years when I went to school there and marble was my go-to spot. I quickly realized that the person that had reached out was my regular bartender. I met with them in early March for all the project details and we went from there."

The new Marble Starlight Ale not only has a badass looking can, but the proceeds from the beer are also for a great cause. L&F Distributors and Marble Brewery are teaming up to raise money for local student scholarships. Marble will be donating 100% of its profits to the Stars Scholarship Fund. The Stars Scholarship Fund supports academically talented and highly motivated students in the South or West Texas. Students who receive the scholarships are pursuing full-time graduate, under-graduate and doctoral degrees in all fields of study.
