With triple digit temperatures and rising humidity in the Borderland, actually walking into a store to grab a lottery ticket can seem like a death march.

Fortunately, the Lotto peeps are simplifying things with a new pay at the pump option. New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden told the Las Cruces Sun-News:

“The world is changing and lottery players have told us they want more convenient ways to buy our jackpot games."

See? New Mexico loves you!  (Or, they're hurting for lotto money... one of the two.) Players can buy Powerball and Mega Millions tickets at the pump if they fuel up and use a debit card to pay. Purchases are :

subject to limitations, including age verification. A weekly purchase limit of $75 and a daily spending limit of $20 per debit card.

Not sure how they're going to check ages but, hey, the young 'uns gotta start sometime right? Las Cruces stores located at  1290 S. Valley Drive and 3480 Northrise Drive will begin participating in this program this week.
