Next month, get ready to rock out with Dorothy at the Lowbrow Palace! Get familiar with this bluesy rock goddess before the show. The band Dorothy has only been around since 2014, but that same year their self-titled EP was named one of Rolling Stone's "Bands You Need To Know." They were also #14 on the magazine's list of "50 Best New Artists of 2014." Since then, the band has released 2 full length albums, RockIsDead and March 2018's 28 Days In The Valley. The new album brings out a new, raw side of Dorothy in her song lyrics, thanks to music legend Linda Perry. Perry worked with Dorothy on the new album and Dorothy said she brought out the lightness out of her,

"This record is definitely still bold, but it's happier. It's kind of like the butterfly coming out of the cocoon."

The new album has more of a desert rock vibe that works well with Dorothy's powerful voice. Check out the band's single "Flawless" in the video above. You can see Dorothy on Tuesday, July 17th at the Lowbrow Palace in El Paso. The Lowbrow Palace is located at 111 East Robinson Avenue off North Mesa Street. Tickets for this show are $20 and are available now through TicketFly. There is also a VIP package available for this show for $70 which includes and Meet and Greet with Dorothy and the band, as well as a 2 song soundcheck performance, early entry into the venue, a signed poster and a commemorative VIP laminate.
