El Paso families feeling the financial pinch and wondering if they will be able to put together a proper Thanksgiving dinner will get some help from a local non-profit organization.

Operation H.O.P.E. is teaming up with a local ministry and several sponsors to conduct a “Thanksgiving Food Drive Thru." The organizations hope the community-wide effort will help lessen the burden for those in-need.

Operation H.O.P.E., which stands for Helping Other People Endure, is an El Paso-based non-profit whose mission is “to help people endure difficult times by providing hope and helping meet basic needs” in our community.

Its annual Thanksgiving food distribution is one of our city’s largest, with hundreds and hundreds of individuals turning out every year.

This year’s free public giveaway will be a drive-thru event that will take place in the church parking lot of The Rock Faith Center at 11201 Armour Dr. in East El Paso on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

In addition to a frozen turkey, families will receive “fresh produce, Coca-Cola product, Goya foods products and other non-perishables,” according to the event post.
