Texas has a lot of really good bakeries. I bet you even have your own favorite in your own town. And Texas even has a rich history of bakeries throughout Texas including being home to one of the oldest bakeries in the United States. It must have been hard to choose "the best".

The Texas bakery that Taste of Home named as the best bakery in Texas has been around since 1941 and is a landmark in San Antonio, Texas. Mi Tierra Café y Panadería is the best bakery in Texas according to Taste of Home. Not only is it a bakery, it's a huge restaurant that serves outstanding Mexican food.

Mi Tierra Café y Panadería, or simply, Mi Tierra is known around Texas as one of the must-stop places in San Antonio. Known for its great food and festive decor, Mi Tierra is a favorite among locals and tourists.

When visiting the bakery, you will be able to choose from many different items including Pan Fino, Empanadas, YoYo de Fresa, Eclairs, Tres Leches, Churros, Pumpkin Turnovers, Sweet Potato Turnovers, and so much more.

I've had a few of those and have had some great dinners at Mi Tierra in the past. I'm looking forward to going again.
