Folks In East Texas Received A Cute and Fun Surprise Shoutout While Watching The New Netflix Movie.

Over the weekend, Netflix released a new movie starting everyone's favorite underwater sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants.

He's back with a splash in the latest Netflix release, "SpongeBob SquarePants: Saving Bikini Bottom." This new animated adventure promises to be an exhilarating ride for fans old and new, packed with humor, heart, and the quirky charm that has made SpongeBob a beloved character worldwide.

The movie's plot centers on a grave threat to Bikini Bottom: a villainous plot to destroy the undersea city.

The movie is based on SpongeBob's pal Sandy Cheeks, his squirrel scientist buddy from Texas on a daring mission to save their home which has been relocated to a "waterpark" in Galveston. The adventure takes them from underwater to the Lone Star State where quirky new characters presents challenges that test their courage and friendship.

"Saving Bikini Bottom" boasts a stellar voice cast, with Tom Kenny returning as SpongeBob and Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick. The film also features exciting cameos from stars like Tiffany Haddish and Danny Trejo, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement.

With this movie's plot being based in Texas, you can expect a lot of the "cliche" jokes about Texas but the fun for East Texans starts almost 30 minutes into the movie.

Lots of Tyler residents took to social media to point out that during the movie, one of the characters mentions that their next stop is the "Varmint Parade in Tyler, Texas." For the record, there's no "varmint parade" here but we have the Rose Parade.
