Han Solo is back as Harrison Ford made his return to "Star Wars" official at Comic-Con in San Diego Friday.

It was the 72 year old actors first public appearance since he crashed a vintage airplane in March. Ford was joined by fellow 'Star Wars' veterans Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill at the film and pop culture convention.

Ford said he was doing fine and reflected on returning to the films that launched his career nearly 40 years ago. Fans were also given a look at some behind the scenes footage of the new film 'The Force Awakens.' The first of a new trilogy in the 'Star Wars' franchise will hit theaters in December.
