Dumping In El Paso’s Open Deserts Is Illegal. Period.
Dumping in the desert areas around El Paso is illegal, no matter what you dump.
If you go wandering around the open desert areas around El Paso, the trash you'll see is sickening. Old appliances, tires, household garbage, abandoned vehicles and much more. Even animal carcasses find their way to the desert and it's all illegal. Please, report illegal dumping:

Many people think landscaping refuse like tree branches, grass clippings, brush, etc is ok to leave in the desert because it's natural and biodegradable. That may be true but, just so you know, it's STILL illegal to toss it out in the desert. Most are free but some charges may apply depending on how much you dump and how often.
