Department of Public Health Offering Free Vaccines In December

The Department of Public Health and the El Paso Fire Department are giving free flu vaccines to certain individuals in the Borderland.

The Department of Health and the El Paso Fire Department are teaming up once again to offer Borderland residents “Vaccinations for Health.” The departments will provide free influenza vaccines, blood pressure and glucose screenings to people 18 years of age and older, colorectal screen kits to people 50 years of age and older plus pneumonia vaccines to those 65 years of age and older.

This program starts again in November with certain locations and times:

Wednesday, Dec. 7: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1-6 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 14: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1-6 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 21: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1-6 p.m.

This service is FREE to residents of El Paso and Hudspeth County who are 18 years of age and older and DO NOT have medical insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid. The goal of this program is to increase the wellness of our community and help those who don’t have access to these services.
