Several states recently legalized marijuana for medical or recreational purposes. Denver, having already done that, voted to allow it in bars!

Denver voters just approved Proposition 300 which, according to KOAA.com, is a city measure that:

allows bars and restaurants to apply to allow marijuana use. Patrons could use pot inside as long as it isn't smoked, with the possibility of outside smoking areas.

KOAA added that:

Colorado law does not currently allow nor ban public marijuana use. The result is a hodgepodge of local ordinances related to marijuana clubs. Denver is the first city to allow bars and restaurants to permit marijuana use, though patrons must bring their own weed.

26 other states have legalized marijuana use for one reason or another. See a map of them here. Other states have lessened the penalty for having small amounts of weed and a bill in favor of that has been pre-filed for the 2017 Texas Legislative session.
