Dairy Queen Welcomes Spring In El Paso With Free Ice Cream Cones

Spring is here, and to help celebrate the season, Dairy Queen is giving away free soft-serve ice cream for fans across the country, including El Paso.  

Dairy Queen (DQ) is celebrating spring by giving away their creamy sweet, soft-serve ice-cream cones today only – Monday, March 21, 2022.  

For years, Dairy Queen has welcomed the new season by sharing their iconic DQ classic cone to help usher in spring, and now El Pasoans can satisfy their sweet tooth craving by stopping by anytime today to pick up a free cone.  

Dairy Queen happens to be one of the originators of soft-serve ice cream, which dates back to 1940.  

Since then, the sweet shop has expanded across 27 countries with over 6,400 stores, 589 of those stores in Texas alone, and the largest shop located in its hometown of Bloomington, Illinois. 

In El Paso, we are down to nine Dairy Queen locations scattered across the city after one long-time store closed in the fall of 2020 in Central El Paso.

According to the owner, a rent increase resulted in closing the location at 4001 N. Piedras.

But no worries because you can still get your DQ fix on at any of El Paso's remaining Dairy Queen locations that include:

Free Cone Day is available today only and is available at participating DQ restaurants in Texas celebrating the arrival of spring. Each visitor is eligible to receive a free small cone with a limit of one per person while supplies last.
