Last week, Brandon and I participated in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to benefit the YWCA. I learned where the phrase "bitches be trippin'" came from because I almost face-planted on the brick part of Anthony Street about a half a dozen times.

The event is the "international men's march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence" in the community. According to event organizers, "by wearing women's shoes, participating gentlemen symbolically put themselves in the place of women for the purpose of raising awareness about the dire effects of sexual and domestic violence."

Funds raised at the event go to provide support services for survivors of family violence. You can learn more about the organization here.

Confession: I have very slender, delicate ankles. Ladylike, really. If you don't believe me, here's a video of me walking in heels. Check out these gorgeous stems!
