We may have to wait a bit longer for the return of Blue Bell in El Paso, but after being off store shelves for four months amid listeria concerns, the ice cream began returning to shelves in selected parts of Texas on Monday.

The ice cream maker underwent a voluntary recall after 10 cases of listeria were reported, and traced back to facilities in Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama. Three of the cases, all traced back to the Texas plant, were fatal, ABC 13 reported.

After shutting down for four months, the very first shipments of Blue Bell were arriving in selected markets early Monday morning. Last week Blue Bell announced the first flavors to hit shelves would be Homemade Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Cookies and Cream and The Great Divide.

When will Blue Bell return to El Paso? Sadly, no date has been announced for the return in the Sun City, but according to a map on the company's website, it's coming ... eventually.
