Benefits Planned For The Family Of Richard Madrigal

A pair of benefits have been arranged for the family of a former El Paso and Las Cruces DJ, killed this weekend.

Richard "Mardi Gras" Madrigal died this weekend. Through his roles in El Paso and Las Cruces radio, as well as with Destination El Paso, Rick did a lot to support the Borderland music scene and the city of El Paso itself. His efforts helped both to grow and develop here and beyond El Paso

To honor his memory, and to help his family deal with medical and other expenses, two benefits have been arranged:

• Friday, June 24th, at Six Strings from 8p-1a
• Saturday, June 25th, at the Kings X from 4p-1a.
