Benefit Saturday for El Paso Boy with Numerous Illnesses
Brandon Esparza suffers from Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Epilepsy, a brain tumor and blindness. He was born prematurely and given a very short life expectancy. He's nearly died several times but, he's still fighting.
His father, a Marine Corps veteran, works several jobs to support Brandon's sisters and to handle the extensive medical expenses, Brandon's Mom stays home with him full time. The family needs a larger, handicap-equipped bathtub for Brandon. The current one is too small and, when he has seizures, Brandon hits his head on the walls and fixtures. They also need a wheelchair-accessible van.
A benefit bike run and concert has been arranged to help raise money and needed materials to remodel the bathroom and buy or build the vehicle.
- Registration is Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Paulina's Badlands, 7792 Franklin. The end stop is the Vista Hills Country Club, 2210 Trawood.
- Entry is $10 per rider, $15 for rider and passenger.
- There will be plenty to eat and drink at the end and live rock from Turncoat, Red Ruby and Texas Roadkill.
If you can't make the run, stop by the end party and make a donation or deposit directly to an account set up at GECU. The number is 650184, for more info, call (915) 412-0550.
