These Apps Allow You to Work from Anywhere

Is work messing up your travel plans? These apps could help.

I share your pain. I missed the Foo Fighters in Albuquerque because I couldn't get away from The Q. (No one was free to cover me and Buzz wanted WAY to much money.)

Thanks to these suckers you can escape the office, or work from outside it, for as long as you want!

• REMOTE OK. This one finds jobs, mostly in the tech industry, you can do remotely.
• COUCHSURFING. This one connects you with people who'll let you crash on their couch. Gifts are sometimes offered but, money is never exchanged.
• WI-FI FINDER. Finds public wi-fi anywhere so you can keep in touch and/or working.
• SPEEDLANCER. Traveling and unemployed? This app finds quick, paying gigs, that can be completed in only 4 hours from wherever you are.
• GOOGLE TRANSLATE. An app that translates both spoken words and signs.
• HOPPER. Tells you, to the minute, when to book your flight(s) so you always get the lowest fare(s).
