31 Days of Horror Films for Halloween Day 16 – Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Sixteen days into the best month of the year, and we come to a fantastic movie I discovered on Netflix. It kept popping up in the suggested movies list whenever I'd watch other horror films, so I finally decided to give it a shot. I am really glad I did, this movie is awesome!

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006)

Meet Leslie Vernon, the subject of a new documentary being filmed. Yes, it's got documentary parts in it, but contained within a traditional film. The "documentary filmmakers" are following the birth of a new serial killer, by the name of Leslie Vernon, and they see how he prepares for his big coming out, how he sets up the crime scene, and even his mentors and how he develops his killer persona. Little do they know that they're soon to become part of his master plan!

I love the line, "You have no idea how much cardio I have to do."
