10 Valentine’s Day Ideas To Celebrate With Your Date In El Paso

Love is in the air & with Valentine's Day coming up soon, you might be wondering on where to go, or maybe come up with something unique to celebrate. Well thankfully there are plenty of places to take your date in El Paso.

On the El Paso Reddit, a question was proposed on someone asking on the best ways to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. There were good suggestions but I think I can expand on it by adding a few more ideas.

Plan a Picnic: Picture it: you & your date sitting outside, food & drinks, enjoying the fresh air at a park. With over 200 parks in El Paso, a picnic in the Sun City is not only VERY plausible, it's such a nice intimate moment to spend time together with someone.

Visit Downtown: I personally loving visiting Downtown: from all the theaters, to the Baseball Park to the Plaza, Downtown is FILLED with such a vast history with some buildings over a 100 years old, tons of bars & restaurants, not to mention it's a great place to just take a walk around.

Visit a Museum: You can find many museums in Downtown like the History or Art Museum, but there's also the Chamizal Memorial, the Old Glory Memorial, the many museums at UTEP, the War Eagles among many others. If you're a history buff, visiting a museum & knowing more about El Paso's history & beauty is always an option.

Sightseeing: The unique thing about El Paso, is not only its history but being so close to Mexico, something that definitely makes El Paso stand out from a lot of cities in the US. There are many sightseeing tour guides in El Paso, but perhaps you want to explore yourself. There's plenty to explore and find here, and not to mention the great views you can see from Scenic Drive or Trans-Mountain.

Helicopter Tours: Yes. That's not a typo. You can do helicopter tours in El Paso. If you're REALLY feeling adventurous & you want a great view of El Paso from the air, this is certainly an unique way to spend an afternoon with your date. There are also additional tours in as well New Mexico.

Horseback Riding: If you've always thought of learning how to ride a horse, why not teach your date how to ride as well? With farms just outside of El Paso, there are places in New Mexico that can teach you how to ride. If you have kids, think of how happy they'll be getting to actually pet a horse.

Ice Rink: Growing up around hockey, I've always loved the Ice Rink. Unfortunately... I can't skate that well anymore but if you go with someone who either is REALLY good at skating, you can have many fun moments skating together. Or if you both can't skate, you can at least get a lot of laughs in, falling on your butts.

Throwing An Axe: What's more romantic than throwing an axe?? If you need to vent some frustration, why not make it a date for the two of you? Let off some steam by tossing some axes at Relaxe. Or if throwing an axes isn't your thing, maybe breaking things at El Paso's Rage Room would help.

Karaoke:

I love to sing & my girlfriend loves hearing me sing. If you love to sing or love being serenaded, why not take your date out on a karaoke night? You can sing your favorite shmaltzy love ballad or maybe invite them up for a duet. It can be a great time after having a few drinks & you can just go up with the mic in your hand and give it all you got. Even if you can't sing, it's all about having a good time & enjoying yourself right?

Wine & Dine: Who doesn't love a romantic dinner? There are so many restaurants here in El Paso, it's impossible to list them all. You can always your date with chocolates or their favorite candy.

You can take a cooking class together or maybe you're not in the mood to go out. Nothing says "I love you" more than offering to COOK dinner. Dinner for two?
