A young boy in El Paso, suffering from leukemia, is in desperate need of blood.  Please read this to see how you may be able to help.

A little boy from Alamogordo has been sent to El Paso for treatment as he battles leukemia.  Right now, he really needs blood and ... due to weird laws regarding blood donations ... his own family cannot donate.  (They are here with the German military, stationed in Alamogordo and only US citizens may donate.  I don't see why family can't get around this law, but that's the law.)

Noel requires so much though that, even if family could donate, it still would not be enough. Unfortunately he is far to ill to travel; so going home is not an option.

You can find this young man on facebook by clicking on this link. http://www.facebook.com/#!/messages/100003269272345

It's mostly in German, but you can send him a message or some encouraging words ... he speaks english!!

Mostly though, he needs blood.  PLEASE help if you can. Information for donations is below. The El Paso Times and News Channel 7 have also done stories about this brave boy.  Please donate if/when you can!!

He needs O negative ... to donate, please contact Mrs. Robin Murphy @ (915) 577 - 6676

The Providence Hospital blood center is located in the basement @ 2001 N. Oregon here in El Paso. They are open from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Please mention Noels name when you donate.  There are some restrictions, especially for people who have been out of the country.

If you would like more information, email ggarza@klaq.com and I'll send you what I have.  Regarding blood donations, Robin (577-6676) can answer any questions you may have.   THANK YOU!!
