The United States Government shutdown has, among other things, caused national parks to close. That didn't slow these military veterans down one little bit!

A group of World War II veterans arrived in Washington to visit the World War II memorial only to find signs and barricades in place denying them access.  (All national parks are currently closed due to the United States Government "shutdown".)

These veterans stormed the beaches at Normandy. They flew missions all over Europe through anti aircraft fire. Many of those present may have even survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. Known as "Americas Greatest Generation", they damn sure didn't let a few barricades and signs keep them from their destination!!

I'm proud of these folks for standing up to a stupid situation and going on ahead with what they needed to do.  Now if only our governmental representatives would do the same thing. Crash through all the stupid BS and do what we put them there to do!!
