Has anyone currently in Washington ever even read the WTF-ing constitution?

'Cuz they sure don't seem to "get it"...

A bill is making its way through the system now that will allocate government funds for motorcycle checkpoints.  Motorcycles ONLY.  They're calling them safety inspections but that's BS.  (If it were truly about safety, sobriety or even insurance status; EVERYONE would be checked.)

Please sign the petition telling Congress NOT to allow government funds to be used for this illegal practice.

Then please contact your local reps and tell them you are against the checkpoints no matter who pays for them. Several states have already banned them (Virginia/North Carolina, New Hampshire/Illinois and California) ... while legislation to prohibit them has been introduced in Missouri and New Jersey.  C'mon Texas!!

Hearing things like this reminds me of the old saying "Give 'em and inch and they'll take a mile". Remember, a bill recently passed allowing the unwarranted arrest and detention of American citizens. (These "detentions" need not have a specified length.)

To keep up with legislative action regarding motorcycles and motorcyclists, come to the El Paso Motorcycle Coalition meetings!  (They occur on the first Wednesday of every month and locations vary so email me to find out where the next one is! ggarza@klaq.com)

Whether you ride or just know people who do, please sign the petition!  Who knows which of your rights will be trampled on next?

WTF?
