Small-time Peruvian author Isabella Tanikumi says that Disney's blockbuster hit "Frozen, is actually based on her own life. She's suing Disney for a stunning $250 million dollars. Disney has said that the movie is based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale, The Snow Queen which was written back in 1844. Tanikumi believes that movie the movie is actually based on her life growing up in the Andean Mountains of Peru. Here is a synopsis of the book from Amazon:

This is a compelling, introspective account of the life of Isabella
TaniKumi, who takes her readers on a journey through various phases of her remarkable life- from her family’s survival during the devastating earthquake of 1970 in Huaraz, Peru, to the trials of overcoming heartbreaks of her youth. Conquering personal insecurities led to exploring the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic, and untimely death of her beloved sister, Laura.
Despite language barriers and the consequent obstacles of fitting in, Tanikumi wittily narrates her struggles with her assimilation into American life and culture. Forging many enduring friendships most notably with Julie, who rescued her from the depths of grief. Tanikumi also interweaves a dialogue with her long lost love Eduardo. This novel tacitily and expressly addresses Eduardo as a salient recipient of her reflections. Ultimately, Tanikumi is able to share her gratitude and joy as well as her insatiable thirst for life.

Tanikumi believes the people at Disney stole her story, characters and plot and made it into the animated musical "Frozen." Considering that the movie has trolls (talking trolls at that), magical snowmen, a princess that everything she touches turns to snow, a moose that understand English and a lot more issues, I'm going to go ahead and say I think this is false. Not much of her autobiography seems to parallel the story and plot in the movie "Frozen."

What do you think? Does the movie "Frozen" take from Tanikumi's life story? Or this someone simply trying to get rich?
