Police ID Man Found Dead In Socorro

Police are releasing the identity of a man found dead in Socorro.  Police say 59year old Javier Gonzalez was found dead Sunday night near the 9900 block of Socorro Road.  Gonzalez lived on the 7000 block of Isaac Drive.  An investigation into his death is ongoing.

Woman Charged For Shooting Man In El Paso

A 19 year old woman is facing charges for allegedly shooting a man.  Police say Jessica Deo shot 19 year old Adrian Herrera Sunday in the lower torso at a home on the 1600 block of Via Appia Street.  Herrera was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.  Deo has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Reward Offered For Capture Of Violent Sex Offender

The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a three-thousand-dollar reward for the capture of a violent sex offender.  DPS officials say Michael Cox has been moved to the Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list.  He's wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.  He served a ten year sentence after he was convicted of sexual assault in 1994 in a case involving a 9 year old girl.
