Let's play another game of New Mexico or Florida.

According to the New Mexico Department of Healthan unidentified woman went into a Walmart in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tuesday morning on a motorized wheelchair. The only odd thing about this, was the bat hanging from the basket of the wheelchair.

The woman shopped around the store, with the bat hanging from the basket the entire time. When she finally went up to the counter to pay for her groceries, workers finally noticed the mammal hanging out with the lady.

One of the workers attempted to help by removing the bat from the basket and the store. When the worker was attempting to put the bat outside, the animal bit her. The bat tested positive for rabies. The worker is now on a series of vaccinations to protect her against the rabies. Rabies is almost always fatal if not treated, according to Dr. Ettestad, the New Mexico State Public Health Veterinarian.

Walmart officials called the New Mexico Animal Control and police. The woman who brought the bat into the store left before police could arrive. State Health Officials are now looking for her to make sure she wasn't exposed to rabies as well.

Walmart officials also confirmed to KRQE that the bat was on the woman's wheelchair before she entered the store. Gives a whole new meaning to 'that woman is a little batty.'
