I've decided to document tonight's power outage since a lot of popular movies have been pseudo-documentaries, maybe someone will enjoy my account of this harrowing night trapped in the dark depths of the silent station.

At about 8:15, the power on the mountain where our transmitter lives went out. This took us off the air, and forced you to hear a unique and disturbing blend of country and Tejano that would make anyone consider taking their ears off.

If this wasn't bad enough, about twenty minutes later, a deafening crack of thunder shook the building, scaring the bejeezus out of Lisa, and she fled the building screaming for mommy.

This proved to be a highlight of my day, actually.

...

So my engineer stopped by to check things on our end and to head up the mountain in the rain to work with the power peeps to get us back on the air. Since the power is currently still out, I'm assuming they're having some difficulty. It's about 10:30pm and the thunder continues outside, even though it hasn't been raining much over here.

I'm going a little stir-crazy. You never realize how much you've become dependent upon the internet until it's taken away from you. When all else fails, you can always go look at boobs, right?

...

I wish I had some cards, or candles. At least with a candle I'd stop bumping into stuff when I move around the building. Maybe I'll go outside...

...

THAT sucked. It seems everyone around me has power. Some peeps down the street are out, as well as a traffic light, so at least I'm not alone. And then there's always the ghosts. But with the power out, I can't even watch their antics on the hallway cameras.
I wish I had some internet.
At least my phone works, so I can do a little Facebooking and some Twitter stuff. But I guess 150 pictures of darkness would get old, so I'll only put up a couple.

...

I hope my phone battery lasts, I'm trying to do a video documentary of this whole evening...but with filming and having to use the light to see anything, it might not last.

...

I'm hearing strange noises, like whimpering, but when I go quiet to try to hear it, it stops.

The darkness is starting to get to me. So's this weird Tejano/Country/Oldies/Static weirdness. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take...If somethings happens to me, make sure Ray doesn't get my guitars. He beats them serverely while he plays, and I hate to think of my guitars going through that. Sorry, Ray.

...

Things have turned desperate. I've taken to actually trying to eat the horrid things left in the break room refrigerator. None of them even look like they used to be food, and I think one of them moved back as I reached toward it. It think they're plotting to overthrow me and take control of the building.

...

I think there's someone else here. Or someTHING. The strange noises continue. Tell my family I love them...

Watch the footage recovered from the night, and if you know of Johnnie's whereabouts, please contact the station.
