I found out Cinco De Mayo is NOT Mexico's Independence Day. I had to do some hard investigative reporting on wikipedia to find out the real reason we celebrate today. Buzz and me celebrated this past weekend around El Paso. Check it out ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

In Mexico it is "The Day of the Battle of Puebla". According to wikipedia Americans use it, "as way to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War and today the date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride."

I know exactly how Buzz and me are going to celebrate. We are going to eat Mexican food and visit my favorite Chola monument in Central El Paso at the Lincoln Center.
