Zuzu Verk, 22, was last seen on Oct. 12, when she went missing from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. She went out to the movies with friends and has not been seen since. Now, her family is raising the reward for information leading to her recovery.

However, the search  -- including volunteers on foot, ATV, and horseback -- has not turned up much. Officials are even turning to drone flights to assist in the hunt. Police have said Verk could be in danger, but they haven't elaborated as to why. Police are looking at her on-again, off-again boyfriend, but again, no details are available as to why.

It was supposed to be a simple date night in the small Texas town of Alpine. She drove more than six hours from her parents house in Keller to go to the movies with her on-again/off-again boyfriend Robert Fabian ... He started dating Verk in January and met her parents in April. Now he's hired a lawyer and refuses to speak with police. He is the last person known to have seen Verk before she vanished on October 12, police say. -- Dallas Observer

Zuzu, as you may have guessed, is named after the character from It's A Wonderful Life. A biology student at SRSU, she has short blond hair and hazel eyes, stands at 5'0" and weighs about 110 lbs.

Fabian, however, hasn't participated in the search for his girlfriend. He hired a local attorney, and despite that lawyer's assurances that Fabian is cooperating with police, Alpine Police Chief Russel Scown told the Observer that isn't really the case.

The Verk family has set up a GoFundMe page to help in the search. Those with information should call (432) 837-3486.
