This experiment was started because of a lawsuit against PepsiCo, after a man claimed he found a whole mouse in his can of soda.

Back in 2012, a man named Ronald Ball filed a lawsuit against PepsiCo, claiming that he found a dead mouse in his can of Mountain Dew. The incident happened 74 days after the can was initially sealed and shipped to be sold. PepsiCo fought the lawsuit, stating that a mouse being in the can for over 30 days would actually turn into a jellylike substance, rather than the full body of a mouse like Mr. Ball produced.

But what would actually happen if you left a mouse in Mountain Dew for 30 days? The guys over at the Youtube channel The Explorer Multimedia Inc.YouTube Channel actually made this video back in 2012, but it has started to make the rounds online again this week. In the video, you see the experimenter placing the dead rat inside a airtight jar, and pouring Mountain Dew on the rat. After, the time-lapse video shows exactly how the rat disintegrates in the jar, until after 30 days, they finally open it. All that's left of the rat is fur, and the long tail. Even Snopes looked into the matter and agreed with the experts on PepsiCo's side.

Other than disgusting, this video shows you exactly what drinking soda and other acidic drinks do to your body. It also shows you an easy way to dispose of a body, without all the hassle of trying to find hydrochloric acid.
