Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall when your favorite band collaborates with another artist? Linkin Park opened things up to collaboration on The Hunting Party album, inviting several guests to appear on songs, and they're now sharing some insight into the recording session for the song "Drawbar" featuring guitar great Tom Morello.

As seen in the clip, Morello puts the band at ease and shares what he expects from the recording session. "I appreciate transparency," says Morello. "You will never hurt my feelings. I have a lot of good ideas already that have happened, but today's might be crappy. You can say that. That'll be fine and we'll do another one. I have no ego stake in any riff, solo, beat or anything and I'm also happy to share my thoughts on whatever I hear, so please just say, 'Not so good. We don't like that one. Let's do a different one.'"

After some early discussion, you catch Brad Delson and Morello laying down guitar, while Mike Shinoda provides a piano part. Watch the session in the video above and you can hear the final version of "Drawbar" in the player below.

The session itself took place at EastWest Studios on Nov. 21, 2013. The Hunting Party disc would follow on June 13, 2014. Linkin Park shut down their touring of The Hunting Party disc earlier this year when Chester Bennington suffered a severe ankle injury. He's spent the spring recovering and the band will be back on tour this summer. Among their shows is a headlining stint at the inaugural Loudwire Music Festival, taking place June 26-28 in Grand Junction, Colo. For additional details, click here.
