Take a look and a listen as over 9,000 fans were on hand to check out the El Paso Chihuahuas and the brand new Southwest University Park, Monday, April 28, 2014, marking the return of affiliated baseball to the Sun City.

See the sites and hear the sounds of what many are hoping will be a cornerstone for downtown renaissance. Judging from the reaction of people at the park, it's more than just so far, so good. Much more.

Though the Chihuas (can I be the first to use that nickname?) lost their first game in their hometown, it didn't seem to matter much. From the gorgeous stadium to the food, which looks awesome (nachos in a doggie bowl!), to the beer selection, to the stadium pro shop(s) -- even that interesting-looking mascot, Chico -- they all combined to create what had to be one of the coolest Mondays ever for El Paso, TX.
