The San Antonio ISD is investigating a video that surfaced on YouTube this week. It shows an SAISD police officer body-slamming a girl to the ground.

The video already has more than 200-thousand views, it appears to show SAISD officer Joshua Kehm struggling with a female student. A spokeswoman for the district says the officer was intervening during a verbal argument between two students at Rhodes Middle school in San Antonio, Texas.

The girl's mother, Gloria Valdez spoke to KENS 5 news about the video and says the girl was knocked out saying,'She was, I guess, unconscious. She doesn’t remember being arrested with handcuffs,” The 12 year-old girls mother provided KENS 5 with a photo showing the girl with a bruised eye.

The officer has been placed on paid leave.
