Winter has been pretty easy on us here in the Borderland but, elsewhere, not so much.

So far, our coldest day here in El Paso saw the thermometer bottom out in the upper 20's. Cold yeah but, so far, we've had the mildest winter I can remember. In other parts of the country though, Old Man Winter has been taking care of business.  To the point that one American city recently had the coldest temperature in the freakin' world!

According to the National Weather Service, Hettinger, North Dakota went all the way down to -45 degrees recently. Officially, according to a post by the National Weather Service, that was the coldest place on the planet that particular day.

The 10-day forecast for El Paso calls for more of the same, mild conditions. Lows in the upper 20-s and lower 30's and highs in the upper 60's. January 11th, there's a 20% chance of rain.
