After hearing what sounded like dogs fighting, owner James Roy went outside to check on his dogs and found them to be covered in bees.

Roy's dogs Susie and Sammy were stung over 1,000 times by a swarm of European bees. Roy was attacked by the bees as soon as he opened up his backdoor. He was stung over 50 times. He is currently recovering from the attack but unfortunately, his dogs ended up dying at the vet from their injuries.

Bee Busters Inc. did some investigating of the incident and told NewsWest9 they believe the bees became riled after another group of Africanized bees tried to take over a colony of European bees.
