Residents are upset about Halloween stores selling a 'Slenderman' costume, despite the horrific stabbing of a 12-year-old girl, by two of her friends, who claim their did it to please the fictional character.

Retailers in Wisconsin are selling 'Slenderman' costumes in Party City and Spirit Halloween stores, in Waukesha County, where the incident occurred.

Back in May, 12-year-old Morgan Geyser, and 12-year-old Anissa Weier stabbed their friend 19 times in the woods in Waukesha. Now, the girls are facing a felony charge of first degree intentional homicide

Some residents think it is very distasteful and disturbing to be selling this costume. A Halloween Express in Waukesha is the only store not selling the costume.

If you are not familiar with 'Slenderman,' he is a fictional online character who lures kids to his 'kingdom.' Basically, he is a new version of a boogeyman. I've seen plenty of people wearing this costume here in El Paso, because this character is a new horror obsession.
