Once the clock strikes twelve, not only will a new year begin but so will tons of new year's resolutions! Some people will try hard to start off fresh in 2014 and others may only last the first few weeks but resolutions will be made. Here are the top five new year's resolutions that continue to be made and broken every year.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope anyone who makes a new year's resolution sticks to it and improves their life but the chances of most people staying committed is pretty low. Temptation or laziness usually takes over and whatever you declared as your resolution is out the window. Will you be making one of these typical resolutions your goal for 2014?

    Get In Shape

Tons of people including myself, have committed to getting in shape once January comes around but will we really? Getting in shape involves exercise and eating right and I love to sleep and eat. Those people who will be making this resolution will need total commitment to being healthy because cake and steak are just so tempting! Good luck to you!

    Quit Smoking/Drinking

If you really want to improve your health, you might be quitting smoking or drinking to start off the new year. This can be extremely hard, but if you plan on partying to bring in the new year, you can get all the temptation out of your system that night. Once you wake up on January 1st, it's time to commit.

    Save More Money

Everyone could use a little more money for the new year. After spending most of your paycheck on Christmas gifts, it might be a good idea to start saving up more. Pay all your bills and whatever you have left, shove it in a piggy bank. Instead of going to a mall and having a impulse buy, save up for something you really want. How about some Stone Sour VIP tickets?

    Control Stress

Stressed with the ton of work you have on your desk or school work or kids? Well 2014 could be a little more stress free for you if you choose to take control of your stress as your resolution. I freak out over everything so I probably wouldn't last a day but I applaud anyone willing to try. People who control stress probably don't stick to #2 on this list, but if you use drugs and alcohol to keep stress free, it's fine with me!

    Get Organized

If you don't want to end up on Hoarders and having Fernie blog about it, then you might want to stick to this resolution. If your desk is covered in papers and your house is stacked with dishes, throw it all away! Start fresh! 2014 is a clean slate, so clean yourself up! Organizing your day will help you get tons of things done without worrying if you forgot something, like when The Walking Dead returns!
