The rumors you have heard about a Top Gun 2 being made is confirmed to be true from Tom Cruise himself! So if you're in the need for speed, hold on tight to your patience because they won't start filming until next year.

Inside Edition released the news a couple months ago confirming that the rumors are true. We can expect to see a sequel some time in the future of next year but it will definitely be worth the wait. All the rumors got started when Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted a picture of Tom Cruise and himself hinting at discussing a part two. After that tweet all the fans of the movie had to wait this long (a whole year) to hear it's true! We don't know an exact date as to when filming will begin, but do know it will be next year.
