Police officers in Conroe, Texas are looking for the owner of a pet tiger that was found wandering the streets of the city. Animal control officials say the young female tiger had a collar and a leash.

There's no word on whether she was micro-chipped. Residents in Montgomery county are allowed to own dangerous animals but they must be registered at the county's animal control authority.

The tiger's great escape is not believed to be flooded related, it's basically a cat being able to get away from her owner. The young female tiger seemed content in her enclosure at the Conroe Animal Shelter and could be seen drinking water and laying in the shade. Conroe, Texas is 40-miles north of Houston.
