Wanna know what it looks like when you get hit in the face by a 90 mile-per-hour fastball? Well baseball player Delino DeShields Jr. has you covered - and the photos are insane.

DeShields is a center fielder for the Houston Astros' minor league team in Corpus Christi. He was hit in the face with a fastball thrown by Texas Rangers prospect Phil Klein on Friday (April 18) during a game in Frisco, Texas against the Frisco RoughRiders.

DeShields has since been posting photos of the aftermath to twitter. His face is so swollen, it looks like half of it is melting off his head.

Surprisingly, DeShield's only suffered a fractured cheekbone. He is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
