We were talking about the movie "Searching for the Sugarman" which is nominated for Best Documentary at the Academy Awards this year.

It's about this guy from Detroit, Sixto Rodriguez, who recorded a couple of records in the early 70s and when they didn't sell all that well, he left the music business and started working in construction. Little did he know that he was considered a legend in South Africa. He was revered there like some people hold Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix in high esteem. The problem was, all his fans in South Africa thought he was dead.
