The View may be apologizing, but most nurses aren't accepting it. Check out their controversial comments here.

Earlier this week, we posted a video of Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson, giving a heartwarming monologue about being a nurse for the talent portion of the competition. She talked about helping her patient who has Alzheimer's. Most of the audience and nurses all around the world found her speech to be sweet and an honest look into the world of nursing.

Then, a couple of the hosts from "The View" opened their mouths and nurses are now up in arms. Co-host Michelle Collins had this to say about Miss Colorado's talent performance,

"There was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like ‘Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let’s listen.’ She came out in a nurse’s uniform and basically read her emails out loud and, shockingly, did not win.....I swear to God it was hilarious."

Co-host Joy Behar also asked this cringeworthy question, “Why does she have a doctor’s stethoscope on?”

After their comments made their way online, nurses responded with the hashtag, #NursesUnite to voice their disgust with the comments.

Youtube User Veronica Rios said, "SUCH IGNORANT WOMEN. Also, that is not a docto'rs stethoscope its just a STETHOSCOPE!!!."

Loud Bartkiw said, "What the heck is a doctor's stethoscope? When I am using mine, or when I lend it to the doctor because he doesn't actually have one, it is still just a stethoscope. Those women could not even last 4hrs of my 12hr shift (on midnights) in the Pediatric Intensive Care. Not only is nursing a talent, but it requires intelligence, dedication, teamwork and the willingness to work without even cost of living raises (yes, I have not had one in over ten years). This has been my profession for going on 34yrs."

Shelia Rudesill said, "I was a nurse for 45 years. I healed YOUR children, helped you give birth, held your hand when your husband died, held your hand when your baby died, held your hand (and stopped your bleeding) when you had a miscarriage. I had to purchase my own stethoscope, my nurse's stethoscope! I will NEVER watch the View ever!!!! You are IGNORANT and I hope that when you need my help you will appreciate me and my peers!"

Since the video has gone viral, Behar and Collins have both come out and apologized for their comments. Today on the show, Michelle Collins said "I want to say, we love nurses, if you're watching, we adore you, respect you. Clap for the nurses. You are wonderful and the most compassionate people." She also said that her comments were "misconstrued." Joy Behar explained that she was not paying attention. She explained her thought process during the talent portion, "I was looking at a Miss America tape and there's a woman wearing like an outfit. And I'm thinking, 'Is she in costume?' I didn't know she was a nurse. I'm used to seeing them in gowns and bathing suits. It is not like I was trying to be funny. It was stupid and inattentive on my part."
