I've said this for awhile. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson doesn't make good movies. This isn't to say I don't like the guy. In fact, I think he's the perfect example of someone who uses their celebrity the best way the can and is a genuine nice guy. I knew people in Florida who ran into him in public a few times, and I've always heard nothing but great things about him. Smiling, willing to take photos, and even spend a few minutes to chat. That is a great guy in my book.

But that doesn't make his movies good. Yet it could be one of the reasons he is the highest paid actor. According to Forbes, The Rock has raked in $64.5 million in 2016. That comes in at number 1, ahead of Jackie Chan who is at $61 million and third place is Matt Damon at $55 million.

On that note, The Rock, according to an average of user ratings, makes terrible movies. To qualify for this list actors needed to have a lead or critical supporting role in at least 5 movies over the past decade. 248 actors qualified for this list. And The Rock comes in at number 241. Sandwiched between Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher.

Matt Damon, the 3rd highest paid actor, comes in at number 24. The top 5 rated actors were as follows:

  1. Paul Dano
  2. Leonardo DiCaprio
  3. Domhnall Gleeson
  4. Brie Larson
  5. Tom Hardy
